Preen is an international, award-winning hospitality creation, design, and architecture studio.​

​Founded by Alexis Readinger in 2005, the practice has spent more than twenty years creating hospitality destinations, from independent restaurants to remote island resorts to large-scale developments.​

​Our work often begins before a site is acquired and continues through opening day. We create concepts, assemble teams, shape experiences, solve problems, and bring places into being.

When birds preen, they engage in a ritual of care and preparation that conditions them for flight.​

Great places are not created through inspiration alone.

They are brought into being through attention, craft, discipline, and care.
